Benfica Sign Slovak Teenage Striker Alan Mael Lembakoali

Benfica have officially completed the signing of highly rated Slovak forward Alan Mael Lembakoali from Austrian club Austria Vienna.

The 16-year-old striker arrives after spending the last two seasons in Austria, where he established himself as one of the club's brightest youth prospects. Lembakoali enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 20 goals in 21 matches for Austria Vienna's Under-17 side.

A Slovakia youth international, the talented attacker expressed his excitement after completing the move to Lisbon.

"I'm very happy to be here. At first, it was unbelievable. I asked my father if it was really true, and he told me Benfica wanted me to join their academy," Lembakoali told Benfica TV.

The teenager explained that Benfica's reputation for developing young players played a major role in his decision.

"Benfica develops young players very well. I like the team, and I really enjoy the attacking style of football they play. As an attacking player, that suits me perfectly."

Lembakoali describes himself as a quick forward who enjoys taking on defenders in one-on-one situations. He hopes to contribute with goals and assists while progressing through Benfica's academy.

"My biggest dream is to play for Benfica's first team, win every possible trophy, and always give my best," the young striker added.

Benfica continue to strengthen their academy with some of Europe's most promising young talents, and the arrival of Lembakoali is viewed as another investment in the club's long-term future.
