S.C.U. Torreense will take on FC Porto in the Portuguese Super Cup after the club from Torres Vedras secured a historic 2-1 victory over Sporting CP in the Portuguese Cup final.
Managed by LuÃs Tralhão, Torreense achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the first Portuguese Cup in the club’s history, securing qualification for European competitions for the first time, and earning a place in the Super Cup curtain-raiser against the national champions.
The match against FC Porto is scheduled to be played on 31 July, 1 August, or 2 August, with the venue yet to be officially confirmed. Last season’s Super Cup took place at the Estádio Algarve between Sporting and Benfica. For the first time since 2023, Sporting will not feature in the season-opening fixture.
