Tondela have been relegated to the Segunda Liga after a 3–1 defeat away to Arouca confirmed their drop from the top flight.

The result leaves Tondela without enough points to escape the relegation zone, sealing their descent directly to the second division.

Casa Pia, meanwhile, will have to fight for their place in the league through a relegation play-off. The Lisbon side drew 1–1 with Rio Ave, a result that was enough to push them into the play-off tie against Torreense, the third-placed team from the Segunda Liga.
