The FIA announced early Sunday that the Miami Grand Prix, marking Formula 1’s return after a five-week break due to races in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain amid the Middle East conflict, will start at 18:00 local time in Portugal, three hours earlier than initially scheduled.
The adjustment comes as thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday afternoon, raising the possibility of the race being delayed or suspended. FIA, F1, and the event promoter decided to bring the start forward to avoid weather-related disruptions.
