The 23-year-old Bosnia international enjoyed an impressive first season in Lisbon after joining Benfica from FC Red Bull Salzburg for around €10 million last summer. Dedić quickly established himself as a starter, initially benefiting from the long-term injury absence of Alexander Bah.
Since then, the Bosnian defender has maintained a consistently high level, recording 42 appearances, one goal, and four assists across all competitions. His performances in the UEFA Champions League particularly strengthened his reputation among European scouts.
Benfica are aware that formal offers could arrive soon but are reportedly unwilling to seriously evaluate proposals until after the Club World Cup, believing the tournament could further increase the player’s market value.
Dedić remains under contract until 2030 and has a €50 million release clause. However, Benfica’s financial strategy may change if the club finishes outside the Champions League qualification spots, a scenario that could force player sales during the summer transfer window.
The Eagles currently have three right-backs available for next season: Dedić, Bah, and highly rated youngster Daniel Banjaqui, who is expected to be fully integrated into the senior squad after renewing his contract.
Internally, Benfica would reportedly prefer to sell Bah, who is older and earns a significant salary, but Dedić’s strong season has naturally attracted greater international attention.
Despite interest from multiple clubs, sources close to the player indicate that Dedić is not interested in a move to Fenerbahçe SK, another club linked with the defender.
