Return to Argentina after second spell at Benfica
Di María returned to his native country in 2025 to rejoin Rosario Central, the club where he began his career as a youth player.
His move came after completing a second spell at Benfica, where he also played between 2007/08 and 2009/10.
During his two stints at the Lisbon club, Di María made a total of 217 appearances, scoring 51 goals and providing 47 assists in all competitions.
