Portugal Announce 27-Man Squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Portugal head coach Roberto Martínez has officially announced the 27-player squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will begin on June 11 across Mexico, Canada and the United States.

The squad features a mix of experienced stars and emerging talents as Portugal aim to challenge for their first-ever World Cup title. Cristiano Ronaldo headlines the attacking options, while key players such as Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Vitinha and Rúben Dias are also included.

In goal, Martínez selected Diogo Costa, Rui Silva, José Sá and Ricardo Velho. The defensive line includes João Cancelo, Diogo Dalot, Nuno Mendes, Gonçalo Inácio and Tomás Araújo among others.

Portugal’s midfield will be led by Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, João Neves and Rúben Neves, while the attacking department features Rafael Leão, Pedro Neto, Francisco Conceição, Gonçalo Ramos and João Félix alongside Ronaldo.

The tournament marks another major opportunity for Portugal’s golden generation to compete on the world stage under Roberto Martínez.
