Jordan Henderson has publicly reacted to the championship win of his former coach Francesco Farioli, celebrating the success of the Italian manager at FC Porto.
The English midfielder, now playing for Brentford and a former Liverpool captain, worked with Farioli during their time together at Ajax last season. The Dutch side came close to winning the Eredivisie but ultimately fell short in the final stretch.
After Farioli secured the Portuguese title in his debut season in Portugal, Henderson shared his reaction on Instagram stories, reposting content celebrating Porto’s achievement. His message was brief but enthusiastic: “I love it!”, accompanied by a trophy and heart emoji.
The gesture highlights the positive relationship between the two, built during their time in the Netherlands, before Henderson returned to England and Farioli moved on to manage in Portugal.
FC Porto’s title win continues to generate reactions beyond Portugal, reflecting the wider recognition of Farioli’s impact in his first season at the club.
