Luis Enrique admits fatigue concerns ahead of Nantes clash

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has urged more from his players ahead of their Ligue 1 clash against Nantes, admitting that some members of the squad are dealing with fatigue and minor injuries.

Speaking before the match, the Spanish coach stressed that “every minute at PSG has to be special” and made it clear he expects a higher level of commitment from the entire squad. His comments come after PSG’s 2–1 defeat to Lyon and just days before a crucial encounter against Bayern Munich.

Luis Enrique addressed the absence of Ibrahim Mbaye, explaining it was due to competition within the squad rather than any specific issue. “I have no regrets, but I expect more from everyone,” he said.

The coach also highlighted the importance of squad depth, reminding that last season’s success was largely driven by players who stepped up when needed. He emphasized that the same mentality is required this season.

On the fitness front, Luis Enrique revealed that some players are “a bit tired or carrying knocks,” including Portuguese midfielder Vitinha, who is dealing with heel inflammation. The coach said the situation will be monitored carefully.

Meanwhile, Fabián Ruiz has returned after a long injury layoff and is gradually regaining match fitness, having featured briefly in the game against Lyon.
