Sporting CP have reportedly placed a €2 million price tag on Ricardo Mangas as the Portuguese champions prepare for a potential summer departure of the left-back.
The 28-year-old defender has long been considered one of the players most likely to leave the club if a suitable offer arrives. According to reports, Sporting's board has already established the amount required to approve a transfer.
The Lions originally signed Mangas from Russian club Spartak Moscow for approximately €400,000, meaning the Lisbon side would secure a significant profit if a deal is completed during the current transfer window.

Turkey Emerges as the Most Likely Destination
At this stage, the Turkish Super Lig appears to be the most realistic destination for Mangas, with several clubs in Turkey traditionally active in the transfer market and willing to invest in experienced players.
However, the situation remains fluid as the summer transfer window is still in its early stages. With the FIFA World Cup taking place this year, many clubs are expected to delay major transfer decisions until after the tournament, creating potential domino effects across the European market.

Rui Borges Brought Mangas to Sporting
Ricardo Mangas was signed at the request of head coach Rui Borges, who had previously worked with the defender during their time together at Vitória de Guimarães.
Despite the manager's confidence in him, Mangas spent most of the season as a second or third-choice option on the left side of Sporting's defense, where Maxi Araújo established himself as the undisputed starter.
The departure of Matheus Reis to CSKA Moscow in January opened up additional opportunities, but Mangas still struggled to secure a regular place in the starting lineup.
Limited Playing Time Despite Decent Numbers
Across all competitions, Mangas made 23 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
While those figures appear respectable on paper, they came in just 1,355 minutes of action. Sporting played 56 matches throughout the season, totaling more than 5,000 competitive minutes, highlighting the limited role he occupied within the squad.
His contract runs until 2029 and includes a €60 million release clause, but both the player and the club appear open to a transfer should the right opportunity arise.
Sporting Expected to Sign Competition for Maxi Araújo
If Mangas departs, Sporting are expected to enter the transfer market in search of another left-sided player capable of competing with Maxi Araújo.
The club views the Uruguayan international as a key part of its future plans and is determined to retain him despite growing interest from abroad. Sporting would reportedly only consider offers close to his €80 million release clause.
Meanwhile, the squad will continue to include Nuno Santos, who could provide another solution on the left flank if he fully recovers from the serious injury that sidelined him for approximately 15 months.
With the transfer window gathering momentum, Sporting's defensive reshuffle could become one of the club's key priorities ahead of the new season.
