Christian Eriksen Recovering Well After Scare During Denmark vs Ukraine Friendly
Denmark national team doctor Morten Boesen has reassured fans that Christian Eriksen is in good condition after the midfielder collapsed during Denmark's international friendly against Ukraine.
The incident occurred in the 66th minute and briefly caused concern among players, staff, and supporters. However, medical officials quickly confirmed that Eriksen regained consciousness within seconds and was able to communicate with those around him.
Implanted Defibrillator Functioned as Expected
Speaking after the match, Boesen explained that Eriksen's implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) responded correctly during the medical emergency.
"Christian is doing well and left the pitch on his own. From what I observed, the internal defibrillator activated exactly as it should. He was unconscious for a very brief moment but regained consciousness very quickly, and we were able to establish contact with him immediately," Boesen said.

Additional Medical Tests Planned
Although Eriksen's condition is stable, doctors will conduct further examinations at the hospital to determine the exact cause of the episode.
Boesen confirmed that Denmark's medical staff remains in close contact with both Eriksen and the hospital specialists overseeing his care.
"Christian is doing well and asked me to send his greetings to all the players and let everyone know that everything is fine," he added.
Memories of Euro 2020 Resurface
The incident inevitably brought back memories of the dramatic events during UEFA Euro 2020, when Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch while representing Denmark.
Since that life-threatening episode, the midfielder has continued his professional career while wearing an implanted defibrillator designed to monitor and regulate his heart rhythm when necessary.

Match Abandoned After Medical Emergency
Following the collapse, Eriksen was seen speaking with teammates and embracing his wife before being transported to the hospital for precautionary tests.
The friendly match between Denmark and Ukraine, which had been halted immediately after the incident, was subsequently declared finished.
The football community has responded with relief after receiving positive updates regarding Eriksen's condition, while fans around the world continue to wish the Danish star a speedy recovery.
