Vangelis Pavlidis enjoyed one of the most memorable days of his life on Sunday as the Benfica striker married Marianna Solkidou in a beautiful ceremony held in Halkidiki, northern Greece.
The religious service took place in Nea Skioni before family, friends, and football stars gathered for a lively seaside reception. The newlyweds opened the dance floor together, with Pavlidis later surprising guests with his energetic moves during the celebrations.
Several of the 27-year-old forward’s Benfica teammates attended the wedding, including Leandro Barreiro, Samuel Dahl, Alexander Bah, and Franjo Ivanovic. The Croatian striker was among the last guests to leave as the festivities continued late into the night.
The event also brought together a number of Pavlidis’ friends and international teammates from the Greece national team. Among the notable guests was Georgios Vagiannidis, the Sporting CP right-back who was part of the groom’s entourage during the ceremony.
Also present was Christos Tzolis, the Club Brugge winger who has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal. The wedding highlighted the strong bonds within Greek football and offered a rare opportunity for players from rival Portuguese clubs Benfica and Sporting CP to come together off the pitch for a joyful celebration.
For Pavlidis, who enjoyed another impressive season before his summer break, the event marked a perfect moment to celebrate with teammates, friends, and family before returning to football action.
