WNBA Star Lexie Brown Faces Death Threats Amid Rumors Involving Klay Thompson and Megan Thee

Lexie Brown, 31, guard for the Seattle Storm and daughter of former Celtics player Dee Brown, has been forced to hire private security after receiving death threats following false rumors linking her to NBA player Klay Thompson and rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The controversy began after Megan, 31, announced on Instagram the end of her relationship with Thompson, citing infidelity and expressing frustration over his behavior during their relationship.

Shortly afterward, social media speculation falsely suggested that Thompson had been unfaithful with Brown, who quickly denied any involvement. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Brown criticized both Thompson and Megan for not publicly clarifying the situation, saying, “I wouldn’t have minded if one of them had come forward to tell the truth… They know it wasn’t me.” She emphasized that she had never met Megan and had no personal communication with the couple.

The false rumors have taken a toll on Brown’s focus at the start of the WNBA preseason. In a recent game against the Golden State Valkyries, she scored nine points but admitted that the distraction affected her preparation and mindset. “I had a game I needed to focus on, knowing 100% that the rumors were false, and yet no one came forward to stop them. It was very disappointing to be dragged through the mud like that,” Brown said.

The Seattle Storm guard hopes that public clarification from Thompson and Megan might finally end the harassment. Meanwhile, she continues to navigate the fallout while preparing for the season.
