Tottenham Monitoring Benfica Goalkeeper Trubin

Anatoliy Trubin has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur F.C. ahead of the summer transfer window. According to reports in England, the Premier League side could move for the SL Benfica goalkeeper if current first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario leaves the club.

Vicario, who lost his starting place during the second half of the season, is said to be attracting interest from Inter Milan. His possible departure would open the door for Tottenham to sign a new goalkeeper capable of immediately competing for a place in the starting line-up.

Trubin, 24, is viewed as an attractive option due to his age, experience, and long-term potential. The Ukrainian international joined Benfica from FC Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for €10 million plus bonuses and remains under contract until 2028, protected by a €100 million release clause. Although the goalkeeper has previously expressed his desire to continue at Benfica, he has also admitted that playing in England remains one of his career ambitions.

Benfica still have Samuel Soares as Trubin’s main backup option, with the academy graduate continuing to develop as the club’s second-choice goalkeeper.
