Arsenal Crown Historic Premier League Season with Victory Over Crystal Palace

Arsenal F.C. celebrated their first Premier League title in 22 years with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace F.C. at Selhurst Park, ending a remarkable campaign on a high note. Already confirmed as champions earlier in the week, the Gunners finished the season seven points clear of Manchester City F.C..

Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke secured Arsenal’s 26th league victory of the season, while Jean-Philippe Mateta scored for Palace. Arsenal’s second goal also set a new Premier League record, becoming their 19th goal from a corner during the campaign the highest total ever recorded in a single season.

Manager Mikel Arteta rotated heavily ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain F.C., but the match still produced history as teenager Max Dowman became the youngest starter in Premier League history at just 16 years and 144 days old.

Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard described the title triumph as emotional and praised the squad’s resilience throughout difficult moments in the season. Arteta also admitted feeling “joy and relief” after leading the club back to the top of English football.

The champions now turn their attention to the Champions League final in Budapest, while Crystal Palace prepare for the UEFA Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano in Leipzig.
